NEU Bag Aromatic Enrichment Pack, Candy Gas, Pack of 50

NEU Bags are mesh aromatic infusion packs saturated with Fresh Never Frozen aromatic compounds. Once a NEU has been placed into a bag or bin with cured material, the diffusion process gently migrates the oil from the infusion pack to the cured material. Over the course of the first 48 hours, all of the compounds will have left the infusion pack and become saturated into the cured material. And that’s how you get a NEU Bag.

Why NEU Bag?

NEU Bag increases aromatics in cured material without any equipment. The process is simple if you can open and close the bag, bin, or container you can have a NEU bag.

How NEU Bag Works

When a NEU bag is introduced into an environment with cured material, the oil will move from the higher concentration bag into the lower concentration cured material until an equilibrium is reached. The rate by which aromatics infuse into the cured material depends on many environmental conditions. Typically we have seen the oil fully infuse within 48 hours with homogeneity improving with extended infusions.

Who Is NEU Bag For?

NEU Bag can be a reparative solution to increase flavor and aroma in material that has lost its life. NEU Bag can also be used to maintain flavor during long-term storage by creating positive pressure on naturally occurring compounds, helping to keep them where they are.

Who Is NEU Bag Not For?

NEU cannot increase potency, adjust moisture, or improve discoloration. NEU is not designed to infuse aromatics into trichomes where they originated from. Cured material will absorb the aromatic oil the same way a paper towel would absorb water. This means that the oil can diffuse from the material into the atmosphere if improper conditions are present. NEU cannot overcome poor storage, material handling, or packaging decisions.

Infusion Steps

1. Determine the amount of whole flower to be enriched. Use one pound of flower per one NEU bag, rounding up NEU Bags for partial pounds. Do not open the package until you are ready for use.
2. Ensure the vessel to be used during the diffusion period is airtight. Best practice here is to use a bag that helps to eliminate the headspace.
3. Distribute NEU Bags evenly throughout the flower. Adorn personal protective equipment, specifically protective gloves. Use one NEU Bag for every pound of flower in your vessel.
4. Seal the vessel. After sealing, record the start time of the diffusion.
5. Turn the flower. Do this a minimum once per day but not more than four times in a 24 hour period. When turning the flower, ensure the NEU Bags are evenly redistributed before resealing the vessel. Continue for a minimum of 48 hours.
6. Remove material (if slated for immediate use) If the material is not slated for immediate use, leave NEU Bags in the vessel for continued diffusion. If you’re not pressed up against production timelines, extending the enrichment period improves absorption and retention. From there, we recommend the flower be ground and used immediately to fill pre-roll.
7. Ground or mill the material per an internal SOP for use in pre-roll. Ensure homogeneity.
8. Sample final product. Sampling should be performed to ensure the infusion was successful and the distribution was homogenous.
